Wonderkeep is pioneered from the iron powder technology at Powdertech as an oxygen absorber. Wonderkeep quickly absorbs oxygen in a sealed food package and oxygen content of approximately 21% in the ambient air plummets to less than 0.1% in a short period of time. With the more awareness of food safety, the less food additives and preservatives are being used, which tends to cause aerobic bacteria to deteriorate food quality. With the elimination of virtually all the oxygen in the food package, the propagation of the bacteria is effectively controlled and also the food oxidization is prevented, thus, freshness and quality of food will be maintained for a longer period of time. Powdertech's recent introduction is Wonderkeep type K, a non-metallic oxygen absorber, in order to accommodate today's needs for a HACCP deployed food manufacturing process equipped with metal detectors. Wonderkeep is available in various types (representing the oxygen volume absorbed) and applications to suit the needs of diversified food types. Wondersensor detects oxygen of over 0.5% content in the environment air to turn to blue colour and when Wondersensor is put in an environment with oxygen of less than 0.1% content Wondersensor's colour becomes pink. Thus, Wondersensor can effectively indicate by the colour changes whether Wonderkeep in food package eliminated the oxygen and the product is ready for sale. Wondersensor's another outstanding feature is a paper type indicator which is the only kind in the entire industry and fits in the food package much more perfectly than a tablet type of oxygen sensor. Wonderkeep and Wondersensor are combined together so that an extra processing step of putting Wondersensor in the food package with Wonderkeep can be successfully saved. There are two types of Wonderkeep/Wondersensor Combined; Wondersensor on one side of the Wonderkeep sachet (CLP type) and Wondersensors on both sides of the sachet (BLP type). The double sided BLP type solves the problem of placing the one sided "back side front" in the food package and offers an easy solution to the problem very common for operators at the processing lines. Wonderkeep/Wondersensor Combined is available on a roll and is also available in separate sachets upon request. Powdertech added ALP type with Wondersensor on the one side of Wonderkeep and this type of Wondersensor has closed ends just like BLP. Powdertech has also available Wondersensor on a roll for Combined Type for use in the automatic feeder: S Type (with open ends) for Wondersensor on a one side and T Type (with closed ends) for Wondersensor on a one side and Wondersensor on both sides.
